DAILY SUMMARY

 

The 2010 Summer Mini-Eliminator crowned its 26th champion at The South Point Bowling Center in Las Vegas. Scott Pohl of Burnsville, MN shot a 276 in the final shootout to win the $20,000 top prize. Finishing second with a 224 was senior champion Sam Carter of Ben Lomond, CA, who earned $10,000 and third place went to the 210 & under handicap champion, Bob Godden, Las Vegas, NV who won $7,500 with a 189.

Over 1,300 total entries were recorded with the main event enjoying an 11% increase from last July. Over 50% of the bowlers that entered made the finals and more than $250,000 in cash and prizes were distributed. Plans are now underway for the 2011 Winter Mini-Eliminator which will be held at the South Point bowling center in Las Vegas. Dates for the winter event will be announced shortly. The Summer 2010 Mini-Eliminator was sponsored by Lane #1, South Point Hotel & Casino, Kegel, Etonic, bowlingball.com, and virtualtournaments.com.
